Day 10: Tete - Senga Bay

Eager to get out of Tete, we were all up and packed by 5:30 am and after a quick fill up, it was over the bridge and off to Zobue, where we would have our third border crossing into Malawi. The border crossing was slow and pretty uneventful and after getting stamped and checked for the millionth time, we were all very keen to get back on our bikes and get the air conditioning going again. The next two and a half hours dragged on, with many of the team on the verge of nodding off. After a group decision, we pulled off on the side of the road to get re-energised. Grant and Paul shared an energy bar, Craig taught some of the local kids how to play Frisbee and Mark did twenty push ups. Once everyon had done what they could to get a little motivated, we were back on the saddle and all nodding off again. EVENTUALLY we arrived in Salima and after a large pot of coffee and some vanilla ice cream, we were all very excited to finish the final twenty eight kilometres to the camp and begin our rest day!

Potholes!
Now you are entering the land of the mother potholes! Beware the ears sticking out of the top of the pothole. Do'nt go through the pothole 'cos you think those are rabbit ears sticking out, go round 'cos they're giraffe ears; same shape!!

Still jealous of you guys
Paul, I am impressed that I haven't seen your name and the word accident in the same sentence (as seems to be the case with the other more experienced Biker Boyz)!
Hope you are now enjoying Tanzania, keep it up. Look forward to an update soon.
