Day 8: Inhambane - Inhassoro

Everyone was very pleased with the 6 am wake up and we finally made our way after a good, hearty breakfast. The sandy strip out from Casa Barry proved yet again a little challenging for Grant, who once again decided to play in the sand pit. It was a short ride to Maxixe, on surprisingly well maintained tarred roads. After refuelling it was then onto Dere and then finally just past Vilanculos to the town of Inhassoro where we have planned to stay tonight. Today was our shortest day of the trip so far and came as a blessing as tomorrow we are faced with one of the toughest days of the trip, in which we plan to drive 805km’s on really rough roads to the town of Tete. Hopefully we will manage to get a good supper and an early nights sleep!

Well done so far!
A few offs in sand is just the right way to really get into it ("getting dirty" without much hurt). Seems all are having fun. Keep the posts and piccies coming, and good luck with the 805km. Numb nuts!

Frolicking in the sand
Grant, getting in touch with the earth is not the same as swimming in it . I'm sorry, I couldn't resist any longer :-)
