Our Start at the Cape of Good Hope
After a fairly stressfull start to the day, the team set of to the Cape of Good Hope, to have some lunch and officially start the Cape to Cairo 2009 Expedition!!!
On Sunday, the team set out to the Cape of Good Hope to go take in the spectacular views and to start the Cape to Cairo Expedtion. Litte did we know that we would meet up with a fascinating man, Hans, who left last October on his BMW motorbike to spend the next six years touring the world. After a spot of lunch and a horde of photos, the team set off back to the hotel. Unfortunately, not ten metres down the road we were greating by Cape Town herself as it began to pour down with rain. For Grant, Mark and Paul this proved to be a new experience as this was their first time riding in the rain. We all attempted to get into bed early, this proved very difficult as we were all very pumped for our impending adventure and spent a little too much time discussing the trip! Tomorrow is D-Day and we are all pumped!!!

Hi Rob. When I last saw you (filling up at Cascades), you were going to try out the bike with Stewart in the Middelrus area and now you're well on your way. Enjoy a trip of a lifetime!

Apologies re cough have a bad cold
.Mark agree you should have the injections before you leave civilisation and cold fridges so a couple of days before will be fine. Sad about the ribs !no more telling any jokes while you are around. We are all . .more
